how i made ENERGY!!!

this is the finished look of the animation, all i did was add a film filter and a twitchy effect, using video co-pilots twitch, i tried to match up the twitches with sound effects, but i ran out of time by the end.

i created the whole animation using the CC particle world effect in after effects, various different particle emitters compiled onto solid layers and then compiled together. I wanted to use a wide range of compositing techniques to see which one would best suite my main animation, this one was created by setting up a floor on a still image to give depth to a photograph, i felt the 3d compositing technique worked better, the image looks a bit to stationary in this one, and there wasn't many elements on the photo worth animating!

this is the still image that was used in the animation, its a still taken form the footage that i shot on the quayside in newcastle. i used it because it had a nice floor to work with and alot could be done to it.

with the logo that we were set to work with provided by FD Graphic design, i modeled it in 3d to give alot more depth to it, i didnt want to work with a flat image. i saved it out as a tiff at this angle and imported into after effects ready to animate it and composite it into the scene, it worked well and no setbacks.
